Sometimes it happens, Flow can’t find a Form you created. I find this happens the most when you have just created a new form, however I’ve had other forms just not show up.
I don’t know why this happens. If you really want to resolve it, contact Microsoft support. I guess it’s a caching/timing thing between Power Automate and Forms, but again, I’ve seen older forms not show up, so really I have no idea.
Workaround: Force Flow to use your Form
So let’s force your flow to love your form. Let’s start in your form. Go in and edit your form. Note the URL in the address bar of your browser. You’ll see something like .../DesignPage.aspx#FormId=KFG....C4u
. You want to copy the value after FormId=
, it’s a long ID, make sure to grab it all.
Let’s go to Power Automate and hop into your flow. In your trigger or action, select Enter custom value at the bottom of the pick list, and then paste in the previously copied form id.
That should do it! Pretty easy and it works really well. You may notice later on that the ID will be replaced by your form name, Flow eventually realizes the error of its ways.
Thx!!!!!
It repeatedly doe NOT work. I am replicating an identical Flow I did a month again, same flow different form and list.
what part doesn’t work? any errors?
Iam still having this issue despite multiple attempts and solutions.

where is the issue? any error message?
Will this only work if you are the owner of the form? I want to create a flow for a form I don’t own and want it to fill an excel spreadsheet then load into power bi. It does not seem to work though when you are not the owner of the form, am I correct in this assumption? Thank you!
I believe you’d need the form shared with you. You can confirm this by going to Forms, and there’s a spot to view forms shared with you. If you see it there, you _should_ be able to use a flow on it, but I haven’t tested this out specifically. Let me know what you find out!
Works very well for me thanks
Thank you this has helped me enormously. :)
GREAT! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks a lot and have a great day…
Thanks!!!!!!!
This worked nicely! Thanks
Sadly it didn’t work for me – I’ve tried putting in the id as you suggested and the full url, but still it isn’t recognised. Why does the form not appear in the list in the first place? Thanks
I’m not entirely sure why it wouldn’t appear in the first place. I suspect it’s related to caching or timers waiting to run certain processes. Give it a little time and see if it shows up.
Although, it’s interesting the ID didn’t work, that always worked for me in the past. Might have to reach out to Microsoft support on that one.
Karen, I had the same issue. sometimes at the end of the form ID there is text that starts with an ampersand, and you have to delete that as it is not part of the form ID e.g my form ID link was
id=YzPKKGwn….PWcu&sharetoken=1ccxEJoafJ2futQ4zIpv
I had to delete the bit after PWcu, including the ‘&’ and then it worked.
Thanks Angela
My form doesn’t seem to have an ampersand in it.
I’m now wondering if I did something wrong in creating the form?
The form works and people have been using it, so I remain mystified! I think I shall contact Microsoft support now.
Thank you Angela! That worked for me!
Angela did this fix itself or did you have to do this manually somehow?
Been trying to find a solution to this probelm for a few days now and this worked perfectly! Thankyou Angela
Thank you! that was really helpful
Appreciate this post. A random search for this had me end up here and this was the answer I needed. Thanks!
